Ben has a degree in Fine Art Sculpture and taught Ceramics, 3D Design and Sculpture in Higher Education for over 20 years.

Ben has a wealth of experience and infinite patience, and really enjoys teaching people, of all abilities.

He loves experimenting with different techniques and processes, especially alternative firings, such as Raku, which adds to the excitement and unpredictable nature of working with clay.

We have had some wonderful comments from our potters:

'I recently booked onto a 5 week course at Tin Can Pottery with Ben and I can honestly say it was one of the best things I've ever done! Ben's teaching skills and knowledge are truly wonderful - I can honestly say this course was worth every penny! I'm so chuffed with my Raku fired pieces and I hope to book back onto another course one day!'

'Had a fab time learning to throw some clay. Ben was a great teacher and very knowledgeable and interesting. Learnt a lot and had some fun doing so'

'I absolutely loved the day at the pottery, it was the best day I have had since loosing my sight'
